Giovanni Allevi, one of the best-loved contemporary Italian composers, returns to Italy for Christmas to direct the Italian Symphonic Orchestra in a moving Equilibrium Tour, “Christmas” style.
The virtuoso of contemporary classical music will offer his fans two brand new pieces and will bring onto the stage the talent of amazing guests: from the phenomenon just out of conservatory to the young irrepressible promise and the soloist of international fame. An important occasion to celebrate the greatest festivity in the world along with his fans, also, exceptionally, allowing some to perform on the same stage.
“In the spirit of Christmas – says Giovanni Allevi – I wanted to give my fans a gift my way: two new compositions written in recent months, independently from the release of my records. To show my gratitude for the overwhelming affection I received during the Equilibrium Tour”.
Inevitably, two of the most anticipated concerts will be the one on 19 December in Milan at the Teatro Dal Verme, and the one on 26 December in Rome, at the Sala Santa Cecilia of the Auditorium Parco della Musica, during which the two brand new compositions written by Giovanni Allevi will be performed in world premiere. “I like to think of these creations as a joy to share, also with my younger fans. – says the composer – But I don’t want to reveal the surprise because they will be moments of real emotion for me too”.
The concerts of this Equilibrium, Christmas style, besides the presence of the talented guests, some lucky fans and the gift of the world premiere, will obviously also include some of the most famous Christmas songs in an original re-interpretation, for piano and symphonic orchestra, written by Giovanni Allevi especially for the occasion.
Every concert of the tour will therefore be a little different from the others in a constant celebration which will entertain and warm the public’s heart until 10 January 2019.
